I’m single (surprise surprise) so today is just another day, as is any day.

I hate this commercial crap of ‘today is a romantic day, go buy something you can’t really afford for someone who doesn’t really need it’.

We’ve had easter stuff in my store for the last two weeks. Creme eggs, Galaxy eggs, easter kits, etc... on the end of one aisle while we have one side of the promotion aisle full of easter eggs (about 13 bays, each bay is about 1.3 metres wide by 2 metres high). The foyer will be filled with them in the next couple of days also.

It’s ridiculous.

Working in a multimillion pound store for 12 years has put me off every commercial holiday (I still celebrate St. Patricks day, after all he was born about 30 miles away from me where what is now the Cumbria/Northumberland border).
